Born in 1952, Sir Bill Taylor followed a path through schooling leading him to study Politics and Education at Lancaster University. He graduated in 1973, and then went on to achieve a Masters degree in Education in 1985.
During his time in college, he began working with his community and finding ways to help people however he could. Soon enough, he began to appear in the local newspapers. Proud of his achievements and recognition, he would send clippings home to his mother.
His mother decided eventually that she would give back all of the clippings and articles she had collected for him, and Sir Bill chose to keep them so that he may create his own archive, for every time he was in the news.
Sir Bill now has boxes full of these clippings that he has acquired over the years and has asked UCBC to create an online archive so that he can share the fascinating journey he has had over the years. Access the menu on the left to begin exploring the timeline.
